Smiles & Birth Announcement!

In the last few weeks Logan has really starting smiling, it so stinkin cute! He is not just randomly smiling, its at us! It melts my heart! He is doing this really cute chuckle thing with it as well, almost a giggle but not quite yet. He has also started cooing but he is not a really talkative baby yet, they are few and far between! Oh I love this little boy so much!
Last Monday Les & I went on our first big date since Logan was born. We went to a nice dinner and a comedy show to see Russell Peters. We had a really nice night, I missed my baby but is was nice to have a little time together. I knew Logan was in great hands with his Gramma! And my mom is the best, not only did we come home to a bathed, sleeping baby but a sparkly clean house & all my laundry done! Aren't mommies the best!?
I finally finished our birth announcements! I am so happy with how they turned out! The photos are by a local photographer, who gave them to me all on CD. I used Microsoft Publisher to design the announcment and then saved it as a JPEG, then you can just upload it like a photo to any printing place, I used Costco because they are the cheapest here! Then I attached them to black cardstock to give it a more finished/professional look. I used double sided scrapbooking tape to attach it, glue leaves a visible outline. The paper was on sale & so the announcements cost me 30 cents each! What a steal! to make them a little more special I put a blue "its a boy" stamp on the outside of each envelope & used our new custom return address labels from here. They turned out SO cute!

You're right the cardstock really finishes them. I may steal this idea! And glad you said scrapbook tape, I'll do that too! I keep looking at pics of Logan when you post them to get an idea of what our little boy will look like. Thursday I will finally know! Yay!
